Why is my VAT number rejected?

If during registration process you get a “VAT number is invalid” error, you may not have entered it correctly.

Alternatively, check:

• that your VAT number is registered in the VIES system (VAT Information Exchange System). For that, we recommend that you visit the site (click here);
• We remind you that only national tax administrations can update VIES data. The tax administrations of some EU countries require the submission of a specific form for VAT registration;
• If you find any data inaccuracy, you need to contact your tax administration to request corrections or additions to your data.
