The Health National Institute has explained through precise indications how to manage the collection of household waste for those who find themselves in trust quarantine. We are now at an advanced stage of the pandemic and slowly getting used to it, but it is always good to go over how to manage the risk to a minimum, because the virus has not disappeared.
- Household waste shouldn’t be sorted;
- Two or three strong bags should be used, better if one inside another in the undifferentiated lidder container;
- All waste, whether plastic, metal or organic, should be disposed of in the undifferentiated;
- Nose tissues, napkins, paper rolls, used masks and used gloves should be thrown in the undifferentiated;
- To close the bags use disposable latex gloves and seal with the laces of the bag itself or with adhesive tape;
- After closing the bags throw the used gloves in another undifferentiated collection bag;
- Wash your hands right after this operation;
- Waste should be disposed of regularly as you would with undifferentiated sacks;
- Animals must not have access to the domestic waste collection facilities.
It should be pointed out that these are the practices to be used for those who test positive for the disease, also to facilitate the possible cohabitation with other non-infected people and to limit as much as possible the contagion among family members, which is one of the crucial points to limit the virus in the home environment.
