“Everware” in the forefronte for water cleaning

EnvironmentEUplastic bottle in the river

“Everware”, the German start-up involved in the removal of waste from rivers and oceans, has signed an agreement with the Audi Environmental Foundation (AEF) and the German cosmetics company Babor with the aim of fighting river pollution from plastic waste together.

The Audi Environmental Foundation, founded in 2009 to support innovative projects for environmental protection, has repeatedly played an important role in cleaning water. In fact, in 2018, the Audi Enrivonmental Foundation began to cooperate with CLEAR RIVERS, a non-profit organization, to prevent the pollution of rivers by plastic waste, as well as to raise awareness of the environmental damage caused by improper waste disposal.

The initiative born from the agreement between Everware, AEF and Babor involved a pilot project that was carried out on the Danube River in Budapest, using Everware’s CollectiX boat to remove floating waste from the waters of the Danube.

This initiative will allow to block and collect waste before it reaches the sea, so as to protect fish and, more generally, all other aquatic species that are usually threatened by pollution.
