Make pollution-free hydrogen and, at the same time, clean the environment. This is the “pure zero-emission hydrogen fuel”, the result of converting solid waste made by a new technology. Behind this project, there is Boca Raton, the Standard Hydrogen Company Inc, based in Florida.
Turn garbage into hydrogen: the effort is possible because of the hydrogen sulfide byproduct, which is connected with the oil and gas industry.
Alan Mintzer, the Standard Hydrogen CEO, stated/said/explained that, thanks to their patented technology of converting garbage into hydrogen, they could turn a variety of waste materials into hydrogen sulfide. By doing so, the refinery business (the disposal of hydrogen sulfide) is now characterized by its high cost-effective and low environmental impact aspects, and not considered for its expensive aspect.
What is it possible to convert? Plastic, tires, used clothes, paper, mattresses, wood, discarded food: from residues of these materials to a non-toxic, non-polluting compounds, except for metals and glass.
The clean burning hydrogen fuel is only one of the goals of this firm, which is searching partners to complete the engineering phase to finalize this revolutionary method, if it will be possible, already this year.
