EcologiaTecnologiapixies robot e fondatori

The project developed by the company consists of a sweeper robot to clean the streets thanks to Artificial Intelligence. The robots, also called Pixies, mode independently and are connected to the base, consisting of a solar panel bench, which is their charging station. Through the IoT (Internet of Things) system, the bench identifies the presence of waste in the square and puts che robots into operation to collect them. Robots will initially be able to recognize plastic bottles, but the golals is to include other typed of waste such as glass and cigarette butss as well.

Each bench will have two robots at its disposal characterized by small dimensions (80 cm x 65 cm x 45 cm) and equipped with a 50-liter tank. The progect also includes the addition of an internal compactor.

According to the progect, each robot will be able to clean 8 thousand square meters for each recharge cycle and, in one day, two recharges are expected. Consequently, each station equipped with 2 robots will be able to cover 32 thousand square meters of streets per day, an area greater that the one of Piazza del Prebiscito in Naples and almost double than the one of Piazza del Popolo in Rome. At the end of each cleaning cycle, the tank is emptied like a normal bin.

The company will begin pilot tests in May in the city of Castiglione, in the province of Orvieto, but there are already oper negotiations with some Italian municipalities. the founders will offer municipalities a long-term rental systema at a cost of around €2,000 per month for a bench and two robots.
