There is a sector that will inevitably grow with this pandemic: it is the sanitization sector, which is heading for an exponential increase in its turnover from 50 to 100%. It is a wide and varied sector, which touches different macro areas, from public sector cleanin, such as hospitals, where there is a tripling of work, to the private sector, small companies or shops. In that case, we work not only on sanitization , but on the product to be sold, which must obviously guarantee safety standards.
The world of sanitation in Italy today counts about 4,600 companies, with a turnover of over 12 billion and 322 thousand employees. Numbers destined to grow, this is already being recorded by Fnip Confcommercio (acronym for the National Federation of Cleaning, Pest Control, Service and Multiservice Companies), the trade association that brings together specific companies for this type of sector.
It is clear that the future will have to travel on two fronts: an adjustment to the increase in demand as regards the increase in personnel and their training, because safety standards for those who work must also be exempt from risk, and the maintenance of prices for cleaning, since all companies must be able to afford the cost of this necessary work (to date 2 euros per linear meter), otherwise it will be impossible to start again.
